Belle is a 39-foot timber cruiser built in 2011 by the Wooden Boat Centre Tasmania. Her hull is cold-moulded from Tasmanian timbers—Celery Top Pine for the keel, Huon Pine for planking and interior, with Myrtle and Blue Gum accents throughout. The design combines traditional wooden yacht proportions with contemporary functionality, finished with hand-varnished joinery that showcases the natural character of the materials.
The interior reflects careful craftsmanship and warm aesthetics. The main saloon features Huon Pine panelling, leather seating, and panoramic windows that flood the space with light. A compact galley is fitted with refrigerator and cooktop, while forward accommodation includes a V-berth cabin with handcrafted timber storage. An enclosed head with shower and marine toilet completes the layout.
Belle is powered by a single inboard diesel engine producing 90 horsepower, delivering efficient cruising with good fuel economy. The spacious aft cockpit is well-suited to entertaining and relaxed coastal work. Navigation and safety systems are installed and operational. This is a hand-built yacht of considerable care and attention, with rare Tasmanian timbers throughout and joinery that rewards close inspection.
