The 2011 Leopard 39 is a fiberglass catamaran built for both cruising capability and comfortable living. At 37.5 feet with a beam of nearly 20 feet, the hull employs a GRP-balsa sandwich construction with a non-skid deck surface. Twin Yanmar inboard engines power the boat and aid in maneuvering, while the rigging includes main and jib sheets led to self-tailing winches positioned within easy reach of the raised, hard-top protected helm station.
The Owner's Version layout dedicates the full starboard hull to the owner's suite, which contains a queen berth, a study area, extensive storage, and an ensuite with a shower. The port hull houses two guest cabins and a shared bathroom. The main saloon features a U-shaped settee, a well-appointed galley with Corian bench tops and ample pantry storage, and panoramic windows. The interior benefits from large hatches, ports throughout, and reading lights that maintain a light, airy atmosphere below decks.
The current owners have equipped the boat extensively for extended cruising. Installed systems include solar panels, lithium batteries, a watermaker, and large-capacity tankage. The sail plan has been upgraded with asymmetrical downwind sails. Safety equipment, tools, and dedicated boat spares are aboard to support long voyages.
