2012 Back Cove 30

This 2012 Back Cove 30 is a fiberglass Down East lobster boat built in Rockland, Maine with a resin-infused deep-V hull and foam-cored construction. The traditional spoon bow and gently sloped transom provide the stable, predictable handling valued for coastal cruising. Powered by a single Yanmar 315 hp diesel engine, she reaches a maximum speed of 25 knots with a cruising speed of 20 knots. The engine shows 720 hours of use.

Below deck, the boat offers comfortable overnight accommodation with a single cabin and one head. The interior features varnished cherry cabinetry with quality upholstery, a teak-and-holly sole, and solid-surface countertops. The galley includes a Kenyon single-burner stove, Dometic refrigeration, and Haler microwave. The head has a separate shower, electric toilet, and holding tank monitor.

The boat is equipped for capable, low-stress operation. Navigation and communication are handled by an updated Garmin 7212 multifunction display with radar, depth, and AIS. Docking is assisted by Side Power bow and stern thrusters of 88 pounds thrust each. Additional systems include an Espar diesel furnace, electric trim tabs, a PSS dripless shaft seal, and a reverse oil change system. The ground tackle comprises a quick electric windlass paired with a Delta anchor, 100 feet of chain, and 300 feet of line.

The boat comes equipped with an Achilles LSI-230E tender with Weaver mounts, custom hard top kayak and SUP racks, and a full winter cover. Recent maintenance included a polish, wax, and underbody servicing completed in March 2026. Full maintenance records are available.
