2012 Beneteau Sense 50

The Beneteau Sense 50 is a 2012 cruising sailboat built around a robust fiberglass hull measuring nearly 50 feet in length. Powered by a Yanmar diesel engine of 75 horsepower with low running hours of approximately 1,500, the yacht combines modern comfort with practical seaworthiness. The boat carries an impressive inventory of sails from Elvstrøm, including a mainsail, foresail, self-tacking foresail, gennaker, and code-0, with the original sail set still on board. A folding three-blade propeller and Dock&Go sail drive complete the propulsion setup.

Accommodation comprises four cabins: two guest cabins with private heads and showers, an owner's double cabin forward with ensuite facilities, and a crew cabin aft fitted with a washing machine. The main saloon seats eight guests at a convertible table and includes a U-shaped sofa for six. Recent interior work in 2025 included replacement of all saloon cushions. The galley features a three-burner gas stove with oven, microwave, and full refrigeration; the crew cabin provides practical storage and laundry facilities.

The electrical systems have undergone substantial updates, with four lithium service batteries installed in 2023, a new engine start battery added in 2024, and a 750-watt solar panel array paired with a 2.5-kilowatt inverter. A new watermaker producing 60 liters per hour supports extended cruising. Navigation relies on dual Raymarine GPS chartplotters and radar, all upgraded in 2022, alongside an ST70 autopilot with remote control. Additional recent work includes a new sail drive seal and sprayhood fitted in 2025, plus an upgraded sliding door with remote operation.

The deck carries comprehensive cruising equipment: a Lewmar windlass, electric and manual winches, 80 meters of chain, full bimini and sprayhood, and a Zodiac dinghy with 8-horsepower Mercury outboard. Safety gear includes a six-person liferaft, EPIRB, and MOB equipment. Fuel and water tankage stand at 415 and 560 liters respectively.
