This 2012 Catana 62 is a lightweight performance catamaran built with carbon fibre and Twaron-Impact aramid construction that balances speed with cruising comfort. The hull design incorporates curved daggerboards that create a hydrofoil effect, contributing to responsive handling and strong acceleration. A single 150 hp Volvo diesel engine provides auxiliary power, with the yacht capable of cruising at 8 knots and reaching 10 knots in favorable conditions.
The accommodations span five cabins and five heads, designed to support extended voyaging with comprehensive systems integration. The yacht carries extensive equipment including generator, desalination, refrigeration, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, oven, air-conditioning, heating, wine cellar, and a diving compressor. Full battery banks with solar panels and regulators provide power management.
Recent maintenance has been substantial. New sails—main, solent jib, and reacher—were installed in May 2025. Standing rigging and halyards were replaced in May 2026, and the mast underwent full dismantling, servicing, and reinstallation in May 2026. All composite standing rigging was replaced simultaneously. Battery banks, solar panels, and regulators were renewed in May 2024. This work reflects a comprehensive refit program undertaken to maintain the yacht's systems and structure.
