The Hoek Truly Classic 108 is a composite sailing yacht built in 2012, measuring 108 feet in length with a beam of 23 feet. She is powered by a single Cummins diesel engine rated at 400 horsepower, delivering a cruising speed of 9.5 knots and a maximum speed of 13 knots under motor. Her gaff-rigged sailing plan includes a slab-reef mainsail on a Park Avenue boom and hydraulic furlers on the headsails, with documented performance of 13 knots on a reach in 20-knot winds. The rig was fully inspected and tested with non-destructive testing in March 2025.
The yacht accommodates six cabins and five heads, providing sleeping accommodation and facilities across distinct zones. The main deck features a dining deckhouse, a forward salon, and a spacious protected cockpit for entertaining. The master cabin occupies the aft section as a full-beam space with en-suite facilities. Forward accommodations include a VIP cabin, twin berth guest cabin, and a double with single bunk. Crew areas and galley occupy the forward section. All guest cabins have en-suite heads and showers. The main deckhouse includes a full galley with Bosch steam oven, Miele washer and dryer, wine cooler, refrigerator, and isothermal icemaker.
The yacht carries comprehensive electrical systems including dual Kohler generators (28kW and 20.5kW), multiple battery banks totaling over 2,200 amp-hours service capacity, and 1,300-nautical-mile range at 8 knots. Navigation systems include B&G Nemesis displays, Simrad remote control, and Maritime Starlink antenna with backup VHF. Winching is handled by multiple Lewmar electric and hydraulic winches. The design includes three fire pumps with hydrants, automatic engine room suppression, smoke detectors, and dual safes for security.
A substantial refit by Pendennis Shipyards in 2024–2025 included new electrical systems, new hydraulic furlers, rig inspection with standing rigging upgrades, fresh sails fitted and commissioned in 2025, new Bimini covers, new canvas throughout, and major appliance replacement. The yacht maintains private Bureau Veritas class standing and operates with a hydraulic passerelle and folding gangway in stainless steel and teak.
