This 2012 Ketch Pilot House is a 64-foot fiberglass cruising yacht built on classic lines inspired by 1896 design drawings. The hull incorporates substantial layering—14 layers of cloth on either side of the keel and 28 layers over the keel itself—for durability in blue-water conditions. The gaff ketch rig uses modern materials and equipment, with electric roller reefing on the jib and staysail, making the boat manageable by a short-handed crew. A Gardner 150 hp diesel engine drives a three-bladed self-feathering propeller, with approximately 1,000 engine hours recorded.
The boat's interior arranges around a pilothouse wheelhouse with all-round vision and teak cladding. Below deck, the galley features a U-shaped layout with a seven-burner induction cooktop, double electric oven, microwave, and twin stainless steel sink. A separate dining area seats six comfortably. The central saloon has two leather settees, an electric fireplace, and a large glazed hatch providing natural light and ventilation. A forward suite comprises a double cabin with access to the bow thruster and water maker, plus a heads with shower. The master suite aft includes a queen berth, separate single berth, vanity, library area with leather settee, and en-suite heads with generous shower.
Accommodation totals three cabins and three heads. Additional living features include two 10 kW Northern Lights generators, a 2,500-liter water capacity with an integrated water maker, oil-fired central heating throughout, and four reversible air conditioning units. A 48-volt bow thruster, electric windlasses with remote control, and three anchors with 200 meters of chain support handling. Deck amenities include a teak dining table with seating for eight, sun covers, and a Jacuzzi accessed via large aft hatches. An Avon dinghy with 30 hp outboard is included.
Navigation systems comprise dual Raymarine C120 chartplotters with radar, ST60 instrument series, Ray 54E VHF, autopilot, and satellite television. The boat carries extensive cruising spares and safety equipment, including a life raft. Hull antifouling is scheduled for spring 2025.
