2012 Leopard 44

This 2012 Leopard 44 catamaran was built for offshore cruising and long-distance passage-making. The model is known for its wide beam, four-cabin symmetrical layout, and structural integrity. It's powered by twin Yanmar 4JH45 diesel engines producing 45 horsepower each, paired with SD-60 sail drives and Flexifold folding propellers. The boat cruises at 6 knots and reaches 9 knots at full throttle.

The interior accommodates four cabins and four heads. The forward cabin is currently configured as a workshop with custom storage but can be restored to guest quarters. The galleys and heads include recent upgrades: new Dometic and Vitrifrigo refrigeration, a new clothes washer in the forward head, custom marine-grade mattresses in the aft cabins, and custom interior cushions. Fresh water capacity totals 268 gallons across three tanks.

The electrical system runs entirely on lithium power with 1,920 watts of solar panels feeding a 1,000Ah Dragonfly battery bank. A 3,000W Victron inverter/charger manages power distribution. The navigation suite centers on a Raymarine 12-inch Axiom Pro chartplotter paired with Quantum2 radar, AIS700 transceiver, and autopilot. Starlink Gen2 satellite internet is mounted on the solar arch. A 6-kilowatt Northern Lights generator provides backup power.

The boat received a comprehensive refit from 2024 through early 2026. In 2024, the engines and sail drives were replaced, standing rigging was renewed by Mack Sails with the mast removed and boom reinforced, and new rudder bearings were installed. The windlass was serviced and reinstalled with a new mounting plate in 2025. An 11-foot-8-inch Highfield RIB tender with a 25-horsepower Yamaha outboard is included, along with a Mantus 85-pound anchor and 300 feet of chain.
