Spirit of Rani is a 60-foot sailing yacht designed by Sean McMillan to balance classic aesthetics with serious offshore capability. Built from Douglas Fir, Khaya, and Mahogany, she features a bespoke deckhouse with eleven safety-glass windows and helm-centric sail controls optimized for short-handed operation. A carbon rig, electric reefing system, and Navtec hydraulic controls support the yacht's proven track record across Mediterranean, Caribbean, and distant waters.
The interior accommodates five with three cabins finished in mahogany, two heads, and a full galley. Cruising speed is 9.8 knots, supported by a single Steyr diesel engine. Self-sufficiency systems include a 50-litre-per-hour watermaker, air conditioning, generator, and a range of approximately 660 nautical miles under power.
In 2024 and 2025, the current owner completed a comprehensive refit exceeding €200,000. Work included new rod rigging throughout, new Quantum Fusion sails (fully battened mainsail and 110% jib), new Mastervolt AGM battery banks (4 × 200Ah at 24V), a new 60-litre stainless steel calorifier, and a fresh two-coat Awlgrip hull repaint in Oyster White. The yacht was assessed as near-concourse condition following completion. Full maintenance records are available.
