The 2013 Beneteau Oceanis 48 is a fully equipped cruising sailboat with a fiberglass hull and a single 75 hp Yanmar diesel engine. Built with freshwater use and relatively low engine hours, the boat carries an extensive suite of upgrades and equipment throughout. Key features include a bow thruster, 560-watt solar panels, a 600-pound capacity arch, four heat pumps, a 7.5 kW generator, reverse cycle heating and air conditioning, and comprehensive electronics centered on a Simrad package with three multifunction displays, autopilot, and radar.
Below deck, the boat offers three cabins and two heads arranged across a spacious layout. The master cabin forward features a large island berth with storage, a private head, and a dedicated shower stall. The main salon includes a U-shaped dinette and a settee with desk; the galley is L-shaped with double stainless steel sinks, a three-burner propane stove with oven, microwave, and both refrigeration and freezer. Two additional cabins occupy the aft section, each with its own head access. Interior finishes include Alpi mahogany woodwork, parquet flooring, white leather upholstery, and six-foot-six headroom throughout. A 39-inch flat screen television with BluRay player is mounted forward in the main salon.
The sailing package consists of a furling genoa with UV protection, furling mainsail system, dodger, bimini top, and connector, along with spinnaker gear. Winches include electric operation on the coachroof and sheet winches in the cockpit. The deck features a teak cockpit sole, large fixed table with folding leaves, electric transom seat, hot and cold cockpit shower, swim ladder, and lights integrated into the arch. The boat rides on a shoal keel and is fitted with a three-blade folding propeller.
Electrical systems are robust, with four house batteries, an engine start battery, and dedicated banks for generator and bow thruster service. A 2000-watt pure sine wave inverter with 100-amp charger, galvanic isolators, and two 30-amp shore power connections support extended cruising. Fresh water is delivered via pressure system with hot and cold capability throughout, and waste handling includes electric quiet-flush heads.
