The 2013 Nautor Swan 80 FD is a full carbon composite racing and cruising yacht built as the final hull in Swan's 80-foot flush deck series. Constructed using SPRINT pre-preg carbon methods, the hull benefits from advanced weight optimization and responsive handling characteristics. The design features a customized deck plan with flush deck layout, light-colored caulking, reinforced handholds, and carbon and titanium deck hardware paired with upgraded hydraulic carbon winches. The mast and V-boom are high-modulus carbon from Hall Spars with Future Fibres EC6 carbon rigging, recently upgraded with new cables by the current owner.
The interior accommodates nine guests across five cabins in hand-rubbed satin teak with premium Dorn Bracht fittings and custom leather detailing. The arrangement includes three double cabins with ensuite facilities and Pullman berths, a dedicated office with an additional Pullman berth, and forward crew quarters with bunk beds, a Pullman berth, and seating. The galley features comprehensive Miele appliances and modern digital integration. A touch panel PC provides control and monitoring of onboard systems, with backup on the navigation PC.
The yacht is powered by a single 188 hp Steyr diesel engine and cruises at 9.5 knots. The shallow draft keel at 3.30 meters provides cruising capability while maintaining strong ORC rating performance; an optional deeper keel is available. The boat carries Mastervolt lithium batteries enabling silent operation for approximately three days of normal use, a generator for air conditioning and high-demand hydraulic operations, and comprehensive B&G H5000 and Zeus electronics for navigation and data monitoring.
Recent maintenance includes full mast service with carbon clear coat repainting, factory inspection and re-braiding of EC6 rig cables, complete Reckmann hydraulic furler factory service, rig engineering study with Hall Spars, transom repainting, and new refrigeration systems with full hydraulic and mechanical servicing. A 4.2-meter Highfield tender with 50 hp Honda outboard is included.
