The 2013 Princess 78 is a 78-foot motor yacht built on a deep-V fiberglass hull, combining high-performance engineering with substantial living space. Twin Caterpillar diesel engines deliver 3,670 horsepower total. The yacht's characteristic hull design, raised bulwarks, and deep side decks provide a stable, assured ride, while resin infusion construction achieves engineered weight reduction for improved speed, fuel efficiency, and range.
The interior is spacious and light-filled with three cabins, four heads, and detailed accommodations throughout. The galley features a newer, larger refrigerator. Carpeting has been replaced in the lower salon, bunk room, VIP cabin, and master stateroom. Teak decking was replaced in the aft section, with teak foredeck areas newly added where non-skid surface previously existed.
Significant mechanical and systems work has been completed recently. Both engines received a 2,000-hour service with after-coolers replaced as preventative maintenance. New oil, filters, fuel filters, gear oil, and impellers were installed. The hull received a haul-out, sanding, and new bottom paint. Twelve new AGM batteries were installed, along with two new Mastervolt battery chargers. The air conditioning system has been extensively rebuilt, including a new VIP unit, replacement of both cooling pumps and all associated strainers and plumbing, and a new circuit board. Isolation transformers were replaced on both the port and starboard sides. All bilge pumps, sump pumps, float switches, and vacuum generators were serviced or replaced. Hot water expansion tanks were renewed.
