2013 Ranger Tugs R-31 CB

This 2013 Ranger Tug R-31 is a 31-foot fiberglass trawler built for comfortable cruising. Powered by a single Volvo D4 diesel engine rated at 260 horsepower, the boat combines efficiency with reliable performance. Twin thrusters—bow and stern—make maneuvering straightforward in confined waters. The design emphasizes natural light, with large windows and skylights throughout, while a solar panel with regulator helps maintain the battery bank.

The interior layout provides two sleeping cabins with separate head facilities. The forward stateroom features a walkaround berth and private head with electric toilet, shower, and sink. The aft cabin sits below the salon's raised dinette and includes a second toilet. The salon itself sits at cockpit level, with helm station to starboard, a port-side dinette with foldable crew seat, and access to the galley aft. The galley includes a front-loading refrigerator, wine cooler, icemaker at the cockpit, and a two-burner propane stove with oven. Webasto and Heatercraft heating systems serve the cabin spaces.

Navigation and control are managed through multiple Garmin electronics—including radar, chartplotter, and autopilot—installed at the salon helm, cockpit helm, and flybridge. The boat runs dual electrical systems (12v DC and 120v AC) with shore power capability and a dedicated inverter-charger panel.

Deck features include a Lewmar anchor windlass, 22-pound claw anchor, hot and cold cockpit shower, stern ladder, and swim platform with door access. The boat comes with a RIB dinghy and 2.5-horsepower outboard, plus dinghy davits for launching and retrieval. The Volvo engine was installed in 2018 with 593 hours on the hour meter.
