2013 Solaris 42

The Solaris 42 is a proven cruising and racing sailboat built to the Italian yard's high standards of construction and finish. At 40.5 feet with a 13-foot beam, the hull combines a capable shape with refined interior details. Power comes from a Volvo Penta 40 hp diesel engine. The boat sleeps six across three cabins and has two heads.

The standing rigging is new rod, installed in 2025. Acrylic windows were replaced in 2025. Teak surfaces were sanded and all seams were re-sealed in 2025. The interior received three coats of varnish during the 2024–2025 season. The sail plan is current and complete: a Hydranet mainsail and jib from Delta Voiles (2023), a Code 0 from Olympic Sails, a Quantum asymmetrical spinnaker, a symmetrical spinnaker, and a carbon pole.

The boat's deck layout is practical and well-sorted, with the kind of refined joinery and detailing Solaris is known for. This is a straightforward, seaworthy cruiser and racer ready for immediate use.
