2013 Tartan 4000

The Tartan 4000 is a 40-foot performance cruising yacht built with fiberglass composite construction and a hand-laid hull and deck. A 55-horsepower Volvo diesel engine powers the boat, paired with a carbon fiber mast and boom. The rig stands 64 feet 6 inches, suitable for Intracoastal Waterway passage. The yacht draws 5 feet 6 inches with its bulb keel design.

Recent upgrades include new Bimini and Dodger, new Doyle StackPack mainsail system, new cockpit canvas, new adjustable backstay, and fresh maintenance coats on exterior varnish. Interior air conditioning consists of two 16,000 BTU MarineAir units. House batteries were replaced with 540-amp-hour capacity in March 2025, and new anchor rode was installed the same month. A May 2025 rig inspection found no issues; bottom paint is current as of January 2025, and engine service was completed in March 2025.

Navigation and automation are handled by Garmin 7610 multifunction display and three Garmin GNX large-format displays mounted above the companionway. A MAS Power 4-kilowatt generator with 718 hours of operation supplies auxiliary power, while a Spectra Ventura 200T watermaker provides 12-volt freshwater generation. The yacht has one head and includes a new 2024 Flexboat SR10 tender with 2024 Tohatsu 15-horsepower outboard.
