2014 Bavaria Vision 46

The 2014 Bavaria Vision 46 is a fiberglass sailing yacht measuring 46 feet with a 13.75-foot beam, delivering substantial volume and stability. Powered by a 75 horsepower Volvo Penta diesel engine and equipped with retractable bow and stern thrusters, she combines responsive handling with practical maneuverability in tight spaces. Her rig is comprehensive and modern: a Seldén furling mast carries an electric winch system, a newly replaced 91-square-meter Code 0, and both factory Dacron mainsail and jib still in their original bags. Cruising speed runs 7.5 knots with a maximum speed of 9 knots.

Below decks, the layout comprises three cabins and two heads. The forward cabin features a large V-berth with en-suite head, the port cabin holds two convertible berths, and a starboard skipper's cabin provides additional sleeping space. Two electric heads serve the yacht — one forward with shower and one amidships day head — each with separate holding tanks. The saloon houses a table that converts electrically to a berth, while the galley includes a three-burner gimbaled gas stove, gas oven, microwave, and refrigeration.

The deck is laid entirely in teak, recalked in 2023, and includes a swim platform, hydraulic cockpit table converting to a sun lounger, and a newly installed 2025 bimini and dodger with removable screens and side shades. Topside equipment spans eight fenders, stainless steel cleats, an electric anchor windlass with remote control, and hot/cold stern shower.

Electronics are comprehensive: twin Garmin chartplotters with 9-inch and 8-inch displays, integrated Garmin Doppler radar, autopilot, and NMEA2000 networking. Three new service batteries installed in April 2026 support systems alongside newer thruster batteries and starter battery. The engine shows only 1,005 hours as of September 2024, with regular service by Volvo mechanics. All underwater bronze seacocks were replaced in 2023 with upgraded nylon-reinforced fittings, and anti-fouling was applied in April 2025.
