The 2014 Cape Horn 24XS is a 25-foot center console built on the Cape Horn hull design, known for its exceptional ride, stability, and dry-running characteristics. Twin Yamaha F150XA four-stroke outboards with approximately 1,100 hours provide the power for both coastal and offshore fishing operations. The boat accommodates anglers and their crew with a spacious open layout centered around the console, with room for multiple fishermen to work the rails.
The helm features a modernized black acrylic dash with new switch panels and a comprehensive electronics suite including dual Garmin 8612 multifunction displays, a Garmin 7607XSV at a custom upper station tower, Garmin GMR 18 XHD Radar, B175L thru-hull transducer, NMEA 2000 network, and VHF radio. The custom second station tower was professionally built and powder-coated, offering excellent sightlines for navigation and fish spotting. Helm control is managed through SeaStar hydraulic steering and Gaffrig Performance controls.
Fishing amenities include a 700-quart insulated fish box, two livewells with recirculation pumps, raw water and 20-gallon freshwater washdown systems, and two electric reel outlets in the gunwales. An 87-inch Minn Kota Terrova 36V trolling motor with 36-volt lithium battery provides precision boat control. Power management consists of a six-bank onboard charger, two new cranking batteries, and two new house batteries. Additional systems include dual automatic and switched bilge pumps and a Razor light bar.
The center console features custom upholstery installed in 2022 and a custom-mounted subwoofer. A Magic Tilt trailer with all four tires replaced in spring 2024 is included. The boat has been dry stored approximately 99 percent of the time and maintained throughout its service life.
