2014 Carkeek 47 Grand Prix

The Carkeek 47 Grand Prix is a 2014 composite racing yacht built for serious offshore competition. With full carbon construction, a 5th Generation TP52 deck layout, and EC6 carbon rigging, the boat delivers the performance and build quality required for top-level campaigns. A single 40 hp Volvo Penta engine provides auxiliary power.

The yacht carries a comprehensive sail inventory and benefits from continuous maintenance and upgrades through 2024–2025. Recent work includes new Quantum sails, new standing rigging, and a full engine service in 2024. The keel and bulb configuration has been optimized for speed and agility, and the boat is equipped with current racing electronics.

Originally set up for offshore racing, this yacht has been fine-tuned for 600-mile ocean races and performs well under both IRC and ORC handicap systems.
