2014 Cobalt R5
About This Yacht
The 2014 Cobalt R5 is a 25-foot fiberglass runabout built around a low, aggressive profile emphasizing sleek lines and integrated design. The hull carries Cobalt's reputation for a smooth, quiet ride. The transom is walk-through with a swim platform and integrated sunpad; the aft backrest converts for flexible use. Forward, the cockpit spans nearly a foot wider in beam than Cobalt's 242 model, with wraparound seating that is unique to Cobalt in this size class. The convertible passenger seat forward doubles the width of the helm area.
The cabin includes a head with more space than comparable boats in the class, accessed through a console door with wood-grain and vinyl detailing. The helm features oil-rubbed ebony Makassar trim, duotone aluminum dash panels, stainless steel switches, and five-inch digital gauges with multi-function displays. The steering wheel is leather-wrapped. Armrests, footrests, controls, and cupholders are positioned for ergonomic comfort, and a Rockford Fosgate stereo is installed.
The R5 is powered by a single Volvo Penta 380 hp gasoline engine with 212 hours of operation. The engine has been regularly maintained and the boat has been stored indoors over winter months.
