2014 Contender 23 Open

The 2014 Contender 23 Open is a fiberglass sportfish boat built for both inshore and offshore fishing. Powered by a Yamaha F300 engine with approximately 1,100 hours, it delivers solid performance across a range of conditions. The boat reaches 30 mph at 3,500 rpm with fuel efficiency around 3.2 mpg, and tops out near 55 mph at wide-open throttle. It rides on a dual-axle Continental trailer.

The open layout centers on fishing functionality. A 30-gallon in-deck livewell keeps bait and catch fresh. The boat includes a 36-volt Minnkota Terrova 72-inch trolling motor with Spot-Lock, dual electric reel hookups, and both raw water and fresh water washdown systems. Underwater lights and Taco outriggers complete the fishing setup.

Electronics were upgraded in 2023 and include dual 10-inch Garmin GPSmap 1042xsv displays, Garmin VHF radio, Garmin radar, and an Airmar B175 thru-hull transducer. The audio system features a JL Audio mm50 head unit. Onboard charging includes a MinnKota 3-bank charger and a separate charger for house and starting batteries.

The Yamaha F300 has been serviced every 100 hours throughout its operating life. The boat comes with a full boat cover and motor cover. Equipment is comprehensive and ready for immediate use.
