The 2014 Hampton 720 Skylounge is a 72-foot fiberglass motor yacht designed as a long-range cruiser with exceptional volume and natural light. Twin Caterpillar C18 diesel engines deliver 918 horsepower each, managed through a five-station electronic control system, with a cruising speed of 15 knots and maximum speed of 18 knots. The yacht features dual ZF gear boxes, hydraulic PTOs, stainless steel propeller shafts with five-blade propellers, spade rudders, and Sea Star steering. Stabilizer fins with kelp cutters and bow and stern thrusters provide superior handling and positioning capability.
The main deck flows openly from aft through the salon and forward to the galley, bar, and dining areas beneath generous headroom. Interior finishes include Makore Cherry cabinetry with gloss finish, granite countertops in the galley and bar, marble countertops in the heads, and custom carpeting and upholstery throughout. The galley is comprehensively equipped with Samsung refrigerator and cooktop, Samsung convection microwave, Bosch dishwasher, KitchenAid trash compactor, and water filtration. A dumb waiter system connects the galley to the sky lounge. The bar features an isotherm ice maker and undercounter sink. Outdoor galley spaces on the fly bridge and aft deck include Traeger grill, refrigeration, and Corian countertops.
Accommodations include four cabins: a full-beam master stateroom with ensuite head and shower, a VIP cabin forward with private guest head, a guest cabin with two single beds, and a crew area with double and single bunks. Day heads with vanities are located on the aft deck and sky lounge. Abundant storage throughout all accommodation areas and a forward laundry with Samsung washer and dryer support organized living.
The sky lounge helm features Garmin 8600 series GPSMAP multifunction displays with autopilot, CAT engine displays, adjustable Pompanette helm chairs, and a five-foot custom dining table with U-shaped lounge seating for eight. Dual ONAN 32 kW generators, Victron battery chargers and inverter systems, and comprehensive LED lighting provide power and climate control throughout via Dometic multi-zone air conditioning with reverse cycle heat and Webasto diesel furnace. A MUIR 4500 hydraulic anchor system with 70 kg ROCNA anchor and 275 feet of chain, plus a Brower davit with 1600-pound capacity, complete the vessel's equipment.
