2014 Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 50 DS

The 2014 Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 50 DS is a 50-foot cruising sailboat designed by Philippe Briand for performance and Garroni Designers for elegance. The fiberglass hull is built to Bureau Veritas standards and fitted with a streamlined keel for seakeeping ability. A single 75-horsepower Yanmar diesel engine powers the yacht, which cruises at 7.5 knots and reaches 10 knots at maximum speed. The boat is equipped with a bow thruster, electric winches, and a powerful electric windlass to ease handling and maneuvering.

The three-part cockpit design suits both entertaining and sailing. Twin steering wheels lead to an open-air saloon with comfortable bench seating around a full-sized table, while an additional lounge area provides a relaxation spot when underway. Furling sails keep deck work manageable on this larger boat.

Below deck, the two-cabin, two-head layout offers comfortable accommodations. The galley includes a refrigerator and freezer, while a generator and AGM battery bank support onboard systems. The interior reflects the modern Sun Odyssey generation with attention to livability and finish.

The yacht carries a dodger and bimini for weather protection. New sails were installed in 2025. Raymarine electronics provide offshore-capable navigation and instrumentation.
