The 2014 Lagoon 400 S2 is a 39-foot fiberglass catamaran built for both extended offshore cruising and extended stays aboard. The four-cabin, four-head layout includes a convertible saloon berth, providing flexible sleeping arrangements across the broad 24-foot beam.
The boat carries a full suite of sails: mainsail, jib, and gennaker, with four manual winches and one electric winch for deck handling. Twin Yanmar diesel engines of 39 hp each drive the catamaran via sail-drive units, supported by a 400-liter fuel tank. The power system includes three solar panels totaling 990 watts, four 140-amp-hour service batteries, and a water-maker producing 100 liters per hour with membranes replaced in 2025. Fresh water storage is 600 liters.
Electronics are centered on a Raymarine system with depth sounder, autopilot, radar, VHF, Class B AIS, Navlink 2, and 4G router. The boat carries a 12-person life raft serviced in 2024 and is equipped with a recent 3D Tender dinghy powered by a 2024 Honda 6 hp outboard, complete with davits. A comprehensive survey was completed in 2021.
