2014 Princess Y72

The 2014 Princess Y72 is a 72-foot fiberglass motor yacht powered by twin Caterpillar C32A diesel engines delivering 1622 horsepower each. She reaches speeds of 36 knots and cruises comfortably at 32 knots. Built with a beam of 18 feet, the yacht incorporates advanced stabilization through a TRAC Star 6X fin stabilizer system that operates both underway and at anchor, supplemented by hydraulic bow and stern thrusters with variable speed capability. Additional hydraulic systems include a windlass, separate engine-driven pumps with cross connections, and an electrically driven pump for stabilizer operation while anchored.

Below deck, the yacht accommodates five cabins and five heads across a thoughtfully arranged layout. The master stateroom sits amidships, with port and starboard twin berth cabins and a forward VIP suite. A dedicated crew cabin with its own head and separate aft entry completes the sleeping arrangements. Interior finishes feature walnut gloss woodwork, upgraded Samsung LED televisions in the saloon and master stateroom, and a premium audio system with Harman Kardon Blu-ray components and KEF speakers throughout. The galley showcases Juparana Colombo granite countertops, while the master and guest heads include heated towel rails and a bidet.

Recent improvements include new upholstery in 2020, replacement of thicker teak decking on side and aft decks in 2023, new chillers in 2023, a 27.5-kilowatt Onan generator, updated washer and dryer in 2024, new refrigeration in 2024, and new cockpit and flybridge canvas covers in 2025. The yacht also features a lower helm with dual seats, wireless yacht controller for docking assistance, underwater transom lights, and a removable foredeck table. A tender platform with dinghy chocks is situated aft. The generator was upgraded from the standard specification to accommodate the advanced fin stabilizer system.
