The 2014 ShearWater Carolina 26 is a composite bay boat built for shallow-water performance and fishing. Powered by a single 350-horsepower Yamaha eight-cylinder engine, it reaches speeds up to 40 mph and cruises at 30 mph. The boat features a hardtop with integrated misters and tri-color lighting, plus a black hull matched with a dual-axle stainless steel Ameritrail trailer.
The layout centers on serious fishing capability. Three aerated bait wells—two aft and one forward—feed into a large windowed and lighted aerated fish well positioned at the helm seat back. A cast net well and two rod lockers with dedicated tackle storage support varied fishing techniques. The center console includes a head. A flip-down rear seat provides additional seating, while fresh and raw water washdowns serve deck cleaning and fish preparation.
Navigation and controls are well-equipped with Garmin and Simrad GPS chartplotters. Dual hydraulic remote power poles and an Ulterra trolling motor with remote and GPS offer precise positioning. Jack plate and trim tabs with gauges optimize draft and running angle in shallow water. A stainless steel anchor with remote windlass handles ground tackle. Courtesy lights throughout and rear underwater glow lights complete the setup.
Cushions, seats, and gunnel pads were recently recovered. The audio system includes six speakers and a large subwoofer. The hardtop provides weather protection and houses a VHF compartment and map storage above the helm.
