This 2015 Corsair 970 Carbon XL is a folding trimaran built from composite with a beam of 22.6 feet and length of nearly 32 feet. The boat underwent a complete refit in 2017, including a new 48-foot rotating carbon mast and boom by Axxon, North 3DI sails, and upgraded rigging and deck hardware throughout. A 2.5-meter carbon traveler spans the aft cockpit, with all control lines led aft for convenient sail handling from the two wide cockpit seats.
The interior features two cabins—a forward double with an ensuite head and shower, and an aft double—plus a spacious main salon with full standing headroom. The cabin was customized with a chart table, additional storage shelving, and a refrigerator. A single 20 hp Honda gasoline engine provides auxiliary power.
The folding design allows the boat to be trailered readily, and an aluminum Harbeck trailer is included. The boat has been maintained in freshwater and used for extended Mediterranean cruises.
