The 27 Islander is a fiberglass downeast boat built for both day trips and extended cruising. Her hard-chine hull and gracefully flared bow carry a 10-foot-3-inch beam, powered by twin Yamaha outboards totaling 300 horsepower. The design planes readily and delivers the dry, soft-riding performance Eastern is known for at cruising speeds.
Below deck, the forward cabin features a V-berth that converts to a settee with table or transforms into a spacious double bunk when the table is lowered. An enclosed head with a Vacu-flush toilet and shower sits to starboard, alongside a hanging locker. A mid-deck berth provides additional sleeping capacity or storage. A flat-screen TV is installed in the cabin.
The galley sits aft of the helm on the mid-deck. The seating arrangement includes a double forward-facing companion seat to port opposite the helm, a double lounge seat, and an aft-facing cooler seat. This layout accommodates a large family for day trips or a couple comfortably for week-long cruising.
