The Jeanneau 57 is a proven offshore cruising yacht designed by Philippe Briand, balancing strong sailing performance with a practical layout suited to both passage-making and extended liveaboard use. The 2015 example has been comprehensively upgraded across mechanical systems, electronics, rigging, and comfort features. A new Yanmar 150 hp diesel engine and 11kW generator were installed in 2022, the full standing and running rigging was replaced in 2025, and a complete Raymarine navigation suite with Starlink connectivity was added. Additional recent work includes a professionally painted hull, new watermaker membrane, updated electrical system with house and start batteries, new furlers, and upgraded deck hardware.
The three-cabin layout centers on a full-beam aft master suite with private ensuite and seating area, flanked by two forward double cabins each with dedicated heads. The main saloon is bright and open, with a large convertible settee, well-appointed galley, and extensive storage. The layout balances comfort at anchor with practical at-sea functionality.
On deck, twin helms provide excellent visibility and control with all sail handling led aft for efficient short-handed operation. The cutter rig features in-mast furling mainsail and electric winches. A bow thruster, upgraded ground tackle, tender with davits, and in-mast furling system contribute to manageable handling at this size. Deck equipment also includes air conditioning, generous refrigeration, a watermaker, and approximately 620 liters of water and 720 liters of fuel capacity for extended cruising independence.
