2015 Judel and Vrolijk TP 52

This 2015 Judel and Vrolijk TP 52 is a purpose-built racing yacht with a proven track record at the highest levels of competitive sailing. Originally constructed as Platoon, the yacht won the 52 World Championship in 2017 and subsequently raced as Outsider in premier offshore events including the Rolex Fastnet Race and Caribbean 600. The composite hull measures 52 feet in length with a 14.5-foot beam, powered by a single 50-horsepower Yanmar diesel engine.

The boat carries an impressive complement of new sails and current upgrades reflecting its active racing program. A fresh durapox bottom job has recently been completed. The yacht's recent racing results include a second-place finish at Block Island Race Week in 2025 and first place at the NYYC Annual Regatta in 2025, demonstrating continued competitive performance at the highest standard.
