The 2015 May-Craft 2300 Pilot is a 22.5-foot fiberglass sportfish built for comfort and capability in variable conditions. Powered by a single Evinrude ETEC 175-horsepower gasoline engine with 150 hours of use, the boat combines fuel efficiency with reliable performance. The lower unit and water pump were serviced in spring, keeping the engine in strong working order.
The boat features a protected pilot house cabin with curtains, offering shelter during cooler weather and rain. Accommodations include a homemade plumbed live well and a washdown pump. Navigation and communication systems consist of a SIMRAD NSX 9-inch multifunction display with side scan and down scan sonar, and a Standard Horizon VHF radio with 25-watt output and built-in GPS, installed last season. An AM/FM stereo with Bluetooth and USB connectivity provides onboard entertainment.
Additional equipment includes Bennett trim tabs for handling adjustments, a Lewmar anchor windlass, rod holders, and a complement of safety gear, dock lines, and fenders. The boat comes equipped and ready for extended fishing season use.
