2015 Mills 45

Launched in mid-2015, HALBTROCKEN is a full-carbon, high-end grand-prix racing yacht built by Premier Composites. The 45-foot hull was designed for competitive IRC racing and saw early success in Australian regattas before being acquired by her current German owner, who has campaigned her in ORCi racing with notable results including victory at the 2021 ORCi World Championships.

The boat is equipped with a high-specification Harken deck package and carries full inshore and offshore grand-prix sail inventories, allowing flexible configuration for different racing conditions. She combines the performance credentials of a dedicated racer with accommodations that rival larger yachts in her class, thanks to generous topside height and interior volume that provide comfort and livability for extended offshore passage work.

Well-suited to both inshore and offshore racing, HALBTROCKEN demonstrates the structural refinement and systems integration expected of a purpose-built competition platform at this level. A single diesel engine provides auxiliary power.
