2015 Monterey 268SC Super Sport

The 2015 Monterey 268SC is a 26-foot cuddy cabin cruiser finished in a deep blue gel coat. It runs a single Volvo 320 horsepower dual-prop inboard-outboard engine, capable of reaching 40 miles per hour at peak throttle and around 30 cruising. Bow planes and trim tabs have been added to improve handling and planing characteristics on the single engine setup.

The boat is laid out with a full head featuring a Vacuflush system and black water holding tank. Storage is distributed under the side seats, portside aft, underfloor, and in the cuddy cabin. A full complement of instrumentation sits forward, showing water temperature, air temperature, depth, and engine vitals. The audio system includes components from Memphis Sound, Kenwood, and Precision Power, with separate volume control for the cabin area and a new head unit installed.

A Bimini arch with a folding canvas top provides sun relief and doubles as a water sports anchor point. The boat spent most of its life stored on a lift with a cover and winterized indoors each season. Maintenance on the Volvo has been routine—fluids, impellers, and a trim pump replaced over the years. An aluminum trailer with new 10-ply tires is included; the trailer, new with the boat, shows approximately 1500 miles of use.

The upholstery in the main salon back seating area shows some staining, though other areas including the captain's chairs, sunpad, and cuddy remain in good condition. Some cushions were recovered or restitched approximately four years ago. Minor stress cracking appears around the Bimini tower base on both side rails, assessed as gel coat only; reinforcement with larger backing plates was completed, with no further spread observed since.
