The 2015 Pioneer 186 Cape Island is an 18.5-foot fiberglass bay boat built for inshore fishing and shallow-water exploration. Its design combines the shallow draft of a flats boat with the freeboard and comfort of a larger bay boat, making it adaptable for redfish and snook grounds, sandbar cruising, and light nearshore use. Power comes from a Suzuki DF150 four-stroke outboard with approximately 400 hours of use; the engine received service in October 2024 with roughly 25 hours of operation since.
The boat carries substantial fishing equipment. A Garmin Force Kraken GPS trolling motor with 63-inch shaft sits on a quick-release mount, paired with a Minn Kota Raptor shallow-water anchor and a lithium trolling motor battery as part of a three-battery system with onboard charger. Electronics include a Simrad NSS 9-inch Evo2 touchscreen GPS and depth sounder, with JL Audio speakers and standard instrumentation throughout. The deck layout features rod lockers accommodating six rods, a lighted center livewell with pump and high-speed pickup, elevated bow and aft casting decks, flush-mounted rod holders, and diamond-pattern non-skid surface. A self-bailing cockpit, boarding ladder with swim platform, and bimini top with quick-release brackets complete the setup. Helm controls include SeaStar hydraulic steering and Lenco trim tabs.
The hull sides were professionally compounded and polished in February 2026. A small gelcoat chip marks the aft deck, and minor cosmetic wear is typical for an 11-year-old boat; the hull bottom is clean and hardware is in solid condition. The boat includes a full cushion package, dry storage compartments, and large cooler space. A 2024 EZ Loader aluminum single-axle trailer with swing tongue for garage storage is included.
