The VanDutch 55 is a 55-foot fiberglass cruiser built around a distinctive, recognizable profile that commands attention on the water. Twin Volvo Penta D13 engines deliver 900 horsepower each, cruising at 26 knots with a top speed of 36 knots. The boat carries a Cummins Onan 7.5kW generator, bow and stern thrusters, and Humphree active trim tabs for refined handling. Fuel capacity is 660 gallons with 132 gallons of water.
The open cockpit accommodates more than 20 people and features an automated hydraulic Bimini top, an electric windlass, and a large sunpad with concealed toy storage. Below, the cabin includes a galley with refrigerator, sink, microwave, and cooktop, air conditioning throughout, and a dedicated head. The swim platform has a retractable ladder. An upgraded sound system includes four additional cockpit speakers.
During current ownership, significant work was completed: new engine and house batteries installed in November 2024; bottom sanded, anti-fouled, and treated with PropSpeed in December 2024; cutlass bearings replaced and full compound and wax applied that same month. The Bimini pump and hydraulic system were rebuilt in December 2024, all upholstery, foam, and mounting plates replaced in March 2025, and ceramic coating applied to the windshield. A custom boat cover, new Humphree trim tab control unit, lubricated sea cocks, and refurbished LED engine screens complete the recent service history.
