2016 Boston Whaler Challenger

This 2016 Boston Whaler Challenger is a 27-foot center console built for serious offshore and commercial work. Twin Mercury engines producing 600 horsepower drive the boat, while a Westerbeke 5kw generator provides independent power. The fiberglass hull handles challenging conditions with its 18-degree transom deadrise and 1-foot 9-inch draft. A three-axle trailer is included.

The boat accommodates up to 12 passengers and features a T-top control tower with sheltered wheelhouse seating and a dining table on the port side. The cabin includes natural wood cabinetry storage, a 16k air conditioning unit, a two-burner stovetop, and a refrigerator. A hide-away tackle station and six rod holders suit fishing operations, while a livewell supports live bait storage. The galley counter includes starboard-side under-top storage.

Safety equipment includes a 10-man Datrex liferaft mounted on top of the wheelhouse with hydrostatic release, a fire suppression system with Fireboy monitor, a ditch kit holder, throwable life ring, and a telescoping stainless steel swim ladder on the transom. A teak deck covers the interior, and new teak outfits the cockpit.

Electronics consist of a Garmin package with 1242 X5V GPS, radar, and sonar with associated antennas and transducer. Additional systems include a 50-amp shore power inlet, electric bilge pump, battery charger, and seawater pump. A 190-gallon fuel tank supports extended operations.
