The 2016 Chaparral Vortex 243 VRX is a 24-foot jet boat powered by twin Rotax 250-horsepower engines. With 198 hours on both motors, the boat reaches speeds of 56 to 57 mph and delivers responsive handling and precise control. The fiberglass hull accommodates a U-shaped seating layout with generous storage throughout, and an enclosed head is included for longer outings.
Recent mechanical work includes a replaced throttle control shifter, new Solas impellers with wear rings, and complete pump rebuilds with new bearings and seals on both engines. Both superchargers were replaced with maintenance-free units, all spark plug tubes were refreshed, exhaust manifolds and intercoolers were replaced, and new hardware was installed throughout. The intercoolers were replaced two seasons ago. An upgraded Polk Audio stereo with a Clarion 10-inch subwoofer and amplifier is fitted, and the interior is finished with marine matting.
The boat comes with a Venture trailer (model VATB-5725), snap canvas covers, a second rear canvas cover, and factory vinyl graphics for the sides that have not yet been installed.
