The 2016 Extreme Boats XC 38 Express is a 38-foot center console with a deep-V stepped hull built for offshore performance. Power comes from three Mercury Racing 400R V10 engines producing 1,200 hp combined, delivering a top speed of 75 mph and a cruising speed of 50 mph. The boat sits on a 9-foot beam with approximately 24 inches of draft and a 22-degree deadrise, carrying roughly 340 gallons of fuel. A 2022 aluminum three-axle trailer is included.
The layout combines coastal cruising comfort with serious performance capability. Below deck, the boat offers a full head with shower, galley with microwave and refrigerator, and a cabin with air conditioning and heating. A 21-inch Samsung television and premium Fusion sound system provide onboard entertainment, while a generator and inverter-charger system support the electrical needs of the accommodations.
Navigation and control systems include a 14-foot Garmin GPS touchscreen, Garmin VHF radio, and compass. Mechanical features comprise hydraulic steering, digital throttle and shift controls, performance trim tabs with dedicated controls, a bow thruster with joystick operation, and night lights with night vision camera. Eight new batteries were installed in 2025, with a Pro Marine battery status monitor managing the electrical bank. The boat runs approximately 643 hours.
