2016 Grand Banks 72 Aleutian RP

The 2016 Grand Banks 72 Aleutian RP is a 72-foot fiberglass motor yacht powered by twin Caterpillar C-18 diesel engines rated at 1,150 hp each. The boat reaches a top speed of 21.5 knots and cruises comfortably at 19 knots. With a fuel capacity of 2,800 gallons, the yacht achieves a range exceeding 1,250 nautical miles at 10 knots with reserve, making extended offshore passages practical without refueling.

The accommodations include four cabins and six heads. The master suite features a king-size berth with dual heads and a full-size shower. The main salon offers formal dining space, while the pilothouse incorporates a galley and fold-out table. A captain's quarters with private access serves as additional crew accommodation and storage. The flybridge features an enclosed design with twin grills, icemaker, and open seating.

Recent updates totaling over $200,000 include new Furuno navigation displays on both the main helm and flybridge, a new Furuno radar system, and FLIR thermal imaging. Electronics upgrades encompass new wind instruments, a new ACR EPIRB, and new Siren remote monitoring. The anchor system was upgraded with new gypsies for the Muir windlass and custom bridles. All batteries were replaced, underwater lights converted to LED, and a Mastervolt charging system installed. Six 200-watt solar panels with battery controller were added. The flybridge received a new clear plastic enclosure. A new Winslow 8-person liferaft and Steelhead Marine crane extension were also installed.
