2016 Lagoon 450

This 2016 Lagoon 450 is a 45-foot catamaran built for owner-operated cruising, with three cabins, each featuring an ensuite head. The two Yanmar diesel engines deliver 98 horsepower each. The layout prioritizes comfort and practicality across a 25.75-foot beam, making the boat manageable for a couple or small family while providing ample living space.

The boat has received extensive recent upgrades spanning multiple years. The main lithium battery bank (1080 amp-hours, installed December 2021) is supported by substantial solar generation: 720 watts on davits plus four 100-watt panels on the coach roof, managed by three Victron MPPT chargers. A Victron battery charger, watermaker (35 liters per hour, installed 2019), and Simrad NAC-3 autopilot with wind sensor (both December 2021) round out the systems. Communications include an EPIRB and Iridium Go satellite system.

Sail and rigging work was completed in 2022: new mainsail, jib, standing rigging, and stack pack. The 2022 upgrades also included a new Isotherm refrigerator with ice maker and a washer-dryer combo. Recent structural work includes new trampolines (2024), a new bottom (2023), and hull bulkheads inspected with a Lagoon reinforcement kit installed. A custom carbon passerelle, custom mattresses and bedding, and underwater lights were added in 2023. Two anchors (Mantus 35 kg and Fortress FX 37) are aboard, along with an asymmetrical spinnaker, full bimini enclosure, full aft cockpit enclosure, and new hard top fly bridge.
