2016 Malibu Wakesetter 20 VTX

The 2016 Malibu Wakesetter 20 VTX is a 20-foot fiberglass ski and wake boat powered by a single 410-horsepower Ford engine. Built as a crossover platform, it accommodates both traditional water sports and modern wakesurfing in one compact package. The boat features a removable center pylon for skiing, and its T-Cut Diamond hull design is engineered to produce tournament-quality slalom wakes.

The boat's ballast system is substantial and flexible. It includes up to 1,250 pounds of hard-tank ballast and 1,100 pounds of plug-and-play ballast, along with a hydraulic Power Wedge II that adds another 1,500 pounds. A Surf Gate system allows quick adjustments between different water sports. Control of these systems is managed through dual touchscreen displays in the Command Center.

The cockpit is spacious for its class, with seating for up to 11 people. At 8 feet 2 inches in beam, the boat is narrow enough to fit in a standard garage while maintaining the room needed for a full crew. The combination of ballast options, hull design, and modular features makes it versatile for skiers, wakeboarders, and surfers alike.
