2016 Nauticat 42

A 2016 Nauticat 42 built by the Finnish shipyard, this composite-hulled sailing yacht combines the design reputation the brand is known for with well-maintained condition. The boat is powered by a single Yanmar diesel engine of 107 hp and measures 42.65 feet in length with a 13.12-foot beam.

The rig is thoroughly equipped for serious cruising. An electric Furlin mast with cockpit control feeds an electric Selden and Furlex 400E jib roller system. The sails include a North Sails mainsail and jib, both in good condition, plus a 35-square-meter trinquette. Deck hardware consists of Harken 60.2 and 46.2 electric winches, a stainless steel bow pulpit with integral bathing platform, and two anchor systems—a main double-shank davit with 20 kg CQR and a secondary 16 kg Brittany anchor. A horizontal 1200W electric windlass and side boarding ladder complete the working deck. Teak planking covers the main deck, cabin trunk, and cockpit, with a wide bimini and substantial dodger overhead.

Below, the layout follows a lateral cabin arrangement with teak interior joinery and a dedicated oilskin locker. The galley contains a 75-liter refrigerator and 30-liter freezer, both 12-volt with compressor cooling. A 50-liter water heater runs on engine or shore power. Climate control comes from a Webasto AT5500D forced-air heater. A 230v/120v electrical circuit with external connection and a Westerbeke 4 kW generator (215 hours) support the onboard systems, backed by AGM battery banks and a 68-watt solar panel.

Navigation and watch-keeping equipment is comprehensive: a Raymarine e95 multifunction display with electronic chart plotter, Evolution EV-400 autopilot, radar with 18-inch radome antenna mounted in the mast, AIS receiver, GPS, VHF with DSC, and color wind display. Safety gear includes an Ocean Elite ISO 9650 six-person life raft and offshore safety equipment for six people.
