2016 North River Sounder 33

The 2016 North River 33 Sounder is an aluminum cruiser built for serious offshore fishing and Alaska coastal exploration. Twin Volvo D4-260 diesel engines deliver 520 horsepower, each with approximately 2,400 engine hours. A Yamaha 25 high-thrust kicker motor, added in 2023, provides auxiliary power. The boat carries 250 gallons of fuel and features a bow thruster, electric windlass, and dual helm stations for flexible control.

Below deck, the cabin includes a V-berth, mid-berth, and enclosed head with shower and hot water. A Wallas diesel furnace provides heating, while a 3,100-watt inverter supports 110-volt systems. Interior space accommodates seating and dining alongside sleeping quarters. Dedicated fishing infrastructure includes fish holds, a rigging station, wired installation for Cannon downriggers, and raw water washdown. LED spreader lights and a 12-volt dinghy launch system round out the onboard equipment.

Electronics are comprehensive: Simrad navigation suite with autopilot, radar, and CHIRP transducer for sonar. Sterndrive propulsion and a design optimized for the Pacific Northwest's demanding waters make this boat capable across charter operations, sport fishing, and extended cruising. Shore power capability and inverter support enable comfortable extended stays.
