The 2316 Bay Ranger is a 23-foot fiberglass bay boat built for serious inshore fishing across open water and backcountry conditions. Powered by an Evinrude outboard producing 250 horsepower, the boat reaches speeds up to 40 mph and carries 80 gallons of fuel. Its design emphasizes a wide bow flare for a dry ride and minimal freeboard at the gunnel, creating a large front deck and spacious working interior with plenty of room to move and fish.
The layout prioritizes storage and angling convenience throughout. The bow features an anchor locker, a pair of oversized rod boxes with stainless steel compression locks and gas spring assists—the port box includes a rod organizer—and an aerated, filtered forward livewell with high-speed pickup. A removable fiberglass cooler doubles as extra seating just forward of the console. The helm area centers a leaning post with upholstery, rod slots, and dry storage for trolling motor batteries and breaker switches. The console itself is designed to accommodate large modern electronics and comes fitted with factory gauges for speed, RPM, fuel, trim, and water pressure, plus integrated rod holders on each side.
The aft section adds a center-mounted aerated livewell with matching high-speed pickup and inline filter, additional rod holders, and stowable jump seats that deploy quickly or fold flush to create fishing space along the transom. The boat includes standard features such as trim tabs, a skid-resistant deck and interior, heavy-duty 6-gauge trolling motor wiring, level flotation, and a boarding ladder. It comes equipped with a custom RangerTrail aluminum trailer and holds NMMA certification.
