The 2016 Ranger Tugs R-29 is a pilothouse cruiser built on a fiberglass hull with contemporary design throughout. Powered by a Volvo D4 diesel engine producing 260 horsepower with only 300 hours of operation, the boat runs quietly with the engine located completely outside the cabin. A Yamaha 25-horsepower high-thrust outboard provides auxiliary power. The design features a curved front window and overhead glass atrium that flood the helm and salon with light, while an open cabin bulkhead with reversible seating brings the outdoor cockpit and interior together seamlessly.
The accommodations sleep six adults across three separate berths: a forward island berth with its own head and shower, a midship stateroom, and a dinette that converts to a bed. The galley includes a propane stove and oven, microwave, and refrigerator with freezer. A propane furnace and Webasto diesel heater keep the interior comfortable. Navigation and entertainment systems include a Garmin autopilot with remote, Garmin radar and VHF radio, AIS, GPS and sonar, plus Tracvision satellite TV with displays in the main cabin and forward berth.
Handling is enhanced by Side Power bow and stern thrusters with wireless remote control, electric trim tabs, and a bow windlass with dual controls. The cockpit offers seating for seven or more with a hard-top cover, teak table, and integrated refrigerator. Exterior features include solar panels, stainless steel swim ladder, sport racks, rod holders, and an anchor package with 50 feet of chain and 200 feet of line.
The boat is equipped with Northwest Edition upgrades including a diesel forced air heater and downrigger pads. The engine compartment is noted as mechanically clean and well maintained.
