2016 Sabre 48 Salon Express

This 2016 Sabre 48 Salon Express is a custom-configured downeast cruiser built on the original owner's collaboration with Sabre's design team. The layout reimagines the traditional salon and utility spaces: the salon features comfortable recliner seating, a larger retractable HDTV, hi-low dining table, built-in ice maker, and a settee extension that doubles as additional sleeping space. The reimagined utility room maximizes storage and functionality with a full-size washer and dryer, plus ample room for spare parts, provisions, golf clubs, tools, and extended-cruise supplies.

The boat is equipped with dual Cummins diesel engines producing 1,100 horsepower total. Notable 2016 model updates include an extended hardtop with integrated under-mount SureShade, hinged salon entry door, and twin Stidd 500N helm seats on pedestals. Electronics are extensive: Garmin systems throughout, Intellian satellite TV, WiFi antenna and router, and a bow thruster for docking ease.

Recent updates include a Freedom lift installed in April 2024, new AB 10 ALX inflatable with Garmin integration and custom Sunbrella cover, and new Alwgrip "Flag Blue" hull paint applied in 2024 with nonskid treatment on the swim platform. The bottom was sandblasted and given a new barrier coat and bottom paint in 2022. Interior systems have been refreshed: new AGM house and engine batteries installed in 2021, a 2-burner induction cooktop added in 2024, new ice maker installed in 2025, Victron battery monitor, Electro-Strainer on the AC system, and fresh water pump replacement. Dockmate remote control was added in 2021.
