The X-Yachts XC-45 MK II is a Danish-built cruising yacht introduced as a revised model from 2015 onwards. This 2016 example combines the series' hallmark performance and ergonomic deck design with increased volume and generous living space. The fiberglass hull features deep V-shaped sections and an exceptionally stiff construction with a steel strongback frame, enabling comfortable motion at sea while distributing loads from the rig, mast, and keel effectively. A single 80 hp Yanmar diesel engine provides propulsion.
The boat is laid out for extended cruising with three cabins and two heads. The forward cabin includes two single berths and substantial locker stowage. Tank capacities and heavy equipment are positioned low within the hull to lower the centre of gravity, supporting both stability and performance.
This yacht was specified for skippered offshore passages and carries equipment suited to bluewater sailing: a cutter stay, diesel generator, and a 24 V/420 Ah lithium service battery bank. Navigation and safety systems are extensive. The furling boom, electric halyard winch, and retractable bow thruster are fitted to allow manageable handling with a small crew.
