The 2017 Bavaria Cruiser 41S is a 41-foot fiberglass sailing yacht built for extended ocean cruising. Her design emphasizes stability and seaworthiness through a strongly gridded and bonded hull structure, deeper keel, and tall rig. Powered by a 40 hp Volvo Penta diesel engine, she cruises at 6.5 knots and has consistently logged around 150 nautical miles per day in offshore conditions.
Below deck, the layout offers three cabins and two heads arranged to maximize livability for extended voyages. The interior is bright and open, refreshed throughout with new fabrics, foam, mattresses, and canvas. The cockpit has also been renewed with modern cushions and fittings.
Power and self-sufficiency systems are substantial: 1,180 W of solar panels, 600 Ah lithium battery bank, a 3,000 W primary inverter with a secondary 375 W unit, multiple MPPT controllers, and a high-output alternator. Water production is handled by a 30 L/hr watermaker. Navigation and passage-making are equipped with a Garmin Fantast radar, a Garmin chart plotter mounted in the cockpit, and newly fitted Emtrak AIS. The boat carries a Hydrovane self-steering system for offshore work and custom dinghy davits with a solar arch.
