2017 Beneteau Sense 57

This 2017 Beneteau Sense 57 is a flagship single-level cruiser built during the final years of production, designed by Nauta Design with a Berret-Racoupeau hull. The boat showcases the refined engineering that defined Beneteau's most ambitious sailing project of the decade: a twin-helm cockpit with full saloon glazing, hydraulic bathing platform, and walk-through transom. Four Harken electric winches manage the complete sail plan—primary, secondary, mainsheet, and halyard—making the boat genuinely manageable for a couple. The sail plan includes a battened mainsail with lazy bag and jacks, furling genoa, and a Maxi asymmetric spinnaker.

The accommodation plan separates owner and professional space. Forward is a full-beam owner's suite with en-suite shower stall and generous storage. An independent skipper cabin aft preserves privacy while offering flexibility for crew or charter arrangements. A fourth cabin serves the layout, with four heads throughout.

The cruising specification is rare in its class: a 13.5 kW Onan generator, 72,000 BTU air-conditioning, 400 W solar array, 1,000 W inverter, and renewed battery banks support extended anchored living. Three holding tanks and three electric toilets back this autonomous cruising capability. A Yanmar diesel engine of 110 hp provides propulsion.

Recent upgrades and service reflect continuous use by the owner. Sails and standing rigging were renewed in 2018, sprayhood in 2023, tender package and batteries in 2024, and the main engine was fully serviced in 2025. The boat is ready for active cruising with no deferred maintenance or major replacements pending.
