This 2017 Cayo Boatworks 173 is a fiberglass flats boat built for shallow water fishing. The boat was repowered in 2020 with a Mercury 60 hp four-stroke engine fitted with electric start and electric trim, which had logged only 120 hours and completed its 100-hour service. It runs approximately 40 mph when solo and 35–37 mph loaded with two people and gear, and drafts just 4 inches of water for access to skinny flats.
The boat comes equipped with a 20-gallon livewell, built-in 10-gallon aluminum fuel tank with gauge, and a 55 lb I-Pilot trolling motor with spot lock and remote control. Navigation features include a Simrad GO5 chartplotter and nav lights. The custom aluminum poling platform and carbon fiber push pole support sight-casting and pole-and-push fishing methods. A control box mounted on the grab bar manages trim, nav lights, and bilge pump functions.
Additional equipment includes electric trim tabs, a JBL stereo system, fly line spikes on the foredeck, a powder-coated grab bar, tiller extension, brand-new starting battery and 12-volt trolling motor battery, and a boat cover. The livewell is plumbed and requires only an aerator to be operational. A 2017 AmeraTrail dry launch trailer is included, along with one spare tire and two spare hubs.
