The 2017 Cutwater 28LE is a downeast-style cruiser built on a fiberglass hull measuring 28 feet in length with an 8.5-foot beam. Powered by a single Volvo Penta D4-260 diesel engine, it delivers a cruising speed of 16 knots and a maximum speed of 30 knots while maintaining excellent fuel efficiency. The boat is equipped with bow and stern thrusters, trim tabs, a Lewmar Pro-Series windlass, and a full suite of Garmin electronics including a GPSMAP 7600 chartplotter, HD radar, autopilot with remote, and VHF radio.
The interior accommodates overnight cruising with a forward V-berth and mid-ship cabin, plus a convertible dinette. The galley features a stainless steel sink, a two-burner electric stove, combination microwave and convection oven with grill, Nova Kool refrigerator, and Dometic wine cooler. The cockpit provides an aft steering station with an integrated chartplotter, a shower, sink, and a walk-through transom opening to a swim platform. A NextGen 3.5 kilowatt diesel generator and 170-watt solar panel support onboard systems, while a Raritan SeaEra electric head with holding tank and complete Fusion 750 Series sound system with satellite television round out the accommodations.
Recent mechanical work includes new transmission shift solenoids, alternator, water pump, belt and tensioner components, engine coolant, and shaft seal. Generator and engine impellers were replaced, and the air conditioning unit was updated. The teak and holly flooring has been stripped and refinished, and an HDMI video monitor was installed in the v-berth. The engine shows 430 operating hours and the generator 23 hours.
